AGOA
AGOA - the African Growth and Opportunity Act - is legislation enacted by the United States Congress that enables exporters in eligible Sub-Saharan African beneficiary countries to sell their goods on the U.S. market free of standard import tariffs. South Africa’s official unemployment rate for the 2nd Quarter of 2025 has been announced today. It stands at 33,2%, up from 32,9 in the preceding quarter.
So, let me understand this properly: A country with the second highest unemployment rate in the world choose to retain their racist so-called transformation policies, in spite of the warnings of the strongest economy in the World, the United States, and the World Bank, to let go of it. SA trade: USA / China
The difference in SA trade between China and the United States, is in the fact that the country imports much more from China than from the United States. In comparison, its exports to China are less favourable than those to the United States. The balance of trade with its trade with the United States is in favour of South Africa; with China, it’s to its determinant (negative).
